Choosing the right instructor matters
Some instructors compete on price. MD Driving competes on quality of teaching and results.
Designed to solve the problems that hold learners back
Lessons are structured, professional, and especially aimed at building confidence, decision-making, and pressure handling.
Because of this approach:
• Availability is limited
• Lessons are booked in advance
• A deposit secures your place
If you’re simply looking for the cheapest lessons, MD Driving may not be the right fit.
If you want proper progress, clear teaching, and real confidence behind the wheel, you’re in the right place.
You can see examples of the teaching style on the MD Driving YouTube channel and read learner experiences in the Google reviews.
Driving feels hard when pressure takes over your thinking- when one mistake spirals, when junctions feel rushed and test nerves wipe out what you know you can do. You’re not bad at driving. You’ve just never been shown how to stay steady when pressure rises.
Approved, experienced, trustworthy
A driving instructor You can rely on
At MD Driving, lessons are delivered by Matthew Durrant, a fully Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) — qualified, regulated, and trusted to teach you safely, professionally, and with real understanding of how to cater for each individual.
What “approved driving instructor” really means?
To legally teach driving lessons in the UK and charge for them, an instructor must be on the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) ADI register.
This means your instructor:
- Has passed rigorous tests (including theory, driving ability and teaching ability)
- Is recognised by the DVSA as fit to teach learner drivers to the UK standard
- Undergoes regular standards checks and professional updates
- Holds a current licence and DBS check
Unlike casual or unqualified instructors, a DVSA-approved instructor is professionally accountable and must meet strict conduct and safety expectations.
An instructor who understands how learners really struggle
Choosing the right driving instructor matters. Not just for passing your test — but for how confident you feel every time you sit in the driver’s seat.
At MD Driving, all lessons are taught by Matthew Durrant, an experienced Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) with a calm, structured approach designed to help learners truly understand driving.
Matt is:
- A driving professional using belief-aware coaching principles
- Teaching emotional regulation under driving pressure
- Helping learners identify limiting performance beliefs
This helps learners with:
- Test anxiety
- Confidence collapse
- Decision paralysis
